NOVATO

Novato, CA Real Estate:

Lots, Condos, Homes,

 Short Sales and REOs

Novato, the town that unfortunately leads Marin County in the volume of short sales, is a great place to raise children, and is special in that there are homes, horses and agriculture in close proximity to some of the best, easiest living homes in Marin. In 2009 short sales and bank owned sales represented slightly over half of all the sales. Currently nearly six in ten are short sales.

Tom Verkozen has been selling land, condos and homes in Novato for 30 years.

Novato, a fast-growing town (2000 census, 47,630 ... 2007 estimate 54,737) in the far north of Marin County, approximately 30 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Median family income $74,434 (2000), housing units, 18,994. For those who love wine ... easy access north to Napa, Sonoma and Anderson Valleys ... for those who wonder about the aging process ... Buck Institute for Age Research ...

I remember Novato as a small village around a stop sign on US 101 ... ahhh, aging. And growing ... Novato has three high schools, some of Marin's biggest companies in tech and business (Fireman's Fund) and a huge Air Force base (Hamilton) which has been converted to housing (much affordable, thank you Clark Blasdell) and other interesting uses ... the huge old hangars have new occupants.

At the northern edge of Novato, on the boundary with Sonoma County, is the Noetic Science campus ... great research in cutting edge energy work.

Tom Verkozen knows Novato ... and would love to share that knowledge with you whether you are buying, selling or leasing real estate.
